If I found out that the canteen in my child’s school didn’t conform to hygiene regulations, I would call the public health center.

A melting pot is a pot in which metals are melted and mixed or a place where different peoples or styles are mixed together.

What are the advantaged of living in a melting pot? Are there any disadvantages to it?

The advantaged of living in a melting pot is you can know cultures and people from all over the world. The disadvantage is that it’s sometimes difficult to accept other cultures.

Do you think that the minorities in your country should do their best to preserve the distinctness of their culture and religion, or should they conform and try to merge into the new culture? Why?

I think that the minorities in your country should conform and try to merge into the new culture because doing so makes it easy to live here in Japan.
